A skin fade is a relatively new
style of haircut and is often chosen by men who want to keep their hair on the
top of their head but a lot shorted on the sides. The skin fade is done by the
barber carefully shaving the bottom of the hair line almost completely smooth and
then gradually increasing the length as they move towards the top of the head.
This gives the effect of the hair fading out as you move towards the neck,
hence the name skin fade.
If you have never had this cut
done before then you may be a little nervous as if not done correctly it can
end up looking a bit odd and if the fading is not done gradually you may end up
with abrupt lines.
When looking for a barber, make
sure they are experienced in skin fades and ideally try and see some of their
pervious work. This will allow you to see how good they are help you decide if you
want to go to them or not. Often more youthful, trendy barbers are the ones who
are most experienced in these sorts of styles and will most likely do a good
job.
Where do you go to get a quality men’s haircut? It’s not a simple answer. It also very much depends on what you want. Some men prefer to go to a barber who works exclusively with men’s haircuts and who will understand the challenges faced by men, like thinning hair or hair that grows out of a style too quickly. They may also want other services offered by a barber, such as a beard trim. However, some mean feel that they will get a better experience from a salon.
In general, a barber will be cheaper. That’s not to say that the haircut will be of a lower quality. You just need to bear in mind that it will probably be quite a different experience. A salon will ensure that you have a pleasant experience, washing your hair and giving you a head massage. A barber is all about speed and accuracy.

There’s a reason why you’re warned against it. Overworking your hair with hair products, or heat can do major damage in the long run. We know it’s hard, but think of the dire consequences to help you stop! Healthy looking hair will appear healthy because it is. By this we mean that the more products you use in your hair, the less natural and healthy it will be.
Gliding your fingers though your hair is not easy when it’s coated in wax or gel, and whilst your style may hold, it won’t appear healthy. Straighteners and hair curlers can singe the tips of your hair and leave the ends dead, but by forming a style that allows your curls to bounce freely, you can have healthier hair in the process, without overworking it.
Special occasions may be the times when a man or a woman feels the need to overwork their hair, perhaps they want a style to hold, or they want to look as though they have made an effort. This is fine, but you should not overwork the hair on a daily basis, because it can cause complications in the long run.
There haven’t been all that many dramatic changes with hair trends for males in quite a few years. The classic cut for example, has been around for a while; hair pushed back or to the side. Now men are expecting something big for the new year, something more exaggerated and edgy and its going to be all about the fringe. Hair which continues to boast short back and sides, with the crown also being short so that the length at the front is enhanced, being heavier and mostly longer. Most guys will keep it looking classic but some will prefer to cut and style it in extreme ways with colour, gel and styling.
The length in the front will be what makes a difference to this style. Men who may be receding at the front will love this new look because it actually covers up the problem without looking like they’re trying to hide it! Add some highlights to the front, either opting for some chunky colour or just lighting up the ends. Get this guys; this exciting style is literally a big thing for the new year.
