  • The Best Way To Style A Mohawk

We recommend you first figure out the type of mohawk you would like. One you work out the height and thickness of the mohawk, play around with your hair and work out how much you will need for the desired hairstyle.

You will need to wet your hair and then towel dry before you start to actually style your hair. It’s now time to shave the non-mohawk hair to a desired length. Of course, if you would like to keep the length of hair you currently have, then you’re welcome to. It all depends on what end result you envisage.

Blow dry your hair, so there’s no moisture in your hair as this will weigh your hair down. Grab the hair you would like styled and hold it up, then backward comb your hair from base to tip. After your hair is styled up, use hairspray starting from the base. Blow dry your hair again whilst it’s held in its place until it’s dry.

  • Up-do hair styles

Up-dos can be created in many different ways, you can opt for a halo-braided style, a low ponytail or the beehive style among others and these looks never fail to look good with a headband.

We took up-dos may not be the most appealing but they’re becoming popular once again, and it’s no longer seen as a ‘chav’ style. The multi-twist up-so with wet look hair is actually a simple style to achieve and you don’t have to head down to your salon to get that trending look.

Up-do styles are not just for the casual days, they can also be flaunted down the red carpet while your pony or plait can actually be rather unique. Create an-up-do style that matches your personality and stick with it, you may just start a new up-do trend.

  • Natural Perms

Perms used to always look exactly the same. They would be very crimped and they wouldn’t look natural at all. Nowadays you can actually decide on the amount of bounce you want your waves to have, and it’s never been easier to make curls look natural.

Crimped perms are a bit out of fashion now, and you can have a perm with corkscrew curls, surfer curls or tight twisted curls. There are so many options depending on the hairdressers you use, whether you have short hair or long hair.

Perms never go out of fashion and that’s mainly because they’ve changed and developed over time. Today, you can walk down the street struggling to spot a perm hairstyle, not necessarily because people don’t get them, but because they’re a lot more natural today and subtle.

  • Tips for hair extensions

Buy a hair ‘weft’ – they are cheaper! A ‘weft’ is a synthetic or real section of hair that is sewn together at the top. Don’t forget to get extension clips if this is your first time putting in extensions – you’ll need them to keep the extensions in place! If you sew these into the weft, you’ll have a brand new easy system for putting in your extensions. Make sure you pick the right length, otherwise you’ll just end up paying for hair that you’re going to cut off and throw out – especially with human hair as this gets expensive.

If you are going to wear your hair up and just want to add volume or perhaps a longer ponytail then install them upside down against the roots (and so that you can’t see it, make sure you put it under a layer of hair) The best way is to section your hair into a top and bottom layer. Clip up the top section and then, tease out some of the hair where you want to put the clips, then clip them in at the root at an angle – as this will stop them being seen. Then put your hair up in your desired style.

  • Hair from Paris Fashion week – Haute Couture – 2014/15, autumn/winter fashion (part 1)

We have a couple of styles most recently seen on the runways of Paris which all girls should know about! When you want to look good but haven’t got the time to spend hours on your hair, you need to have a few do’s to play about with.

We’re going to start with something incredibly simple: The Ponytail bun! This was spotted on the Yanina show and we wanted to share it with you. It is so simple yet can look very professional, or laid back. To recreate this look all you need to do is:

    • Create a centre parting (with dry hair)
    • Pull your hair into a low ponytail
    • Secure with an elastic hair bobble and keep the ends tucked into the bobble – creating a bun/tucked ponytail.
    • If you are wanting to keep this professional, make sure everything is sleek back and consider finishing the look by pulling a few strands loose from around your face, apply a little hairspray to keep everything where it should be and you’re done.
    • For a more laid back approach, keep the hair loose and a little scrunched up, again, finish with some hairspray to keep your look intact.
