Buy a hair ‘weft’ – they are cheaper! A ‘weft’ is a synthetic or real section of hair that is sewn together at the top. Don’t forget to get extension clips if this is your first time putting in extensions – you’ll need them to keep the extensions in place! If you sew these into the weft, you’ll have a brand new easy system for putting in your extensions. Make sure you pick the right length, otherwise you’ll just end up paying for hair that you’re going to cut off and throw out – especially with human hair as this gets expensive.
If you are going to wear your hair up and just want to add volume or perhaps a longer ponytail then install them upside down against the roots (and so that you can’t see it, make sure you put it under a layer of hair) The best way is to section your hair into a top and bottom layer. Clip up the top section and then, tease out some of the hair where you want to put the clips, then clip them in at the root at an angle – as this will stop them being seen. Then put your hair up in your desired style.
